Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is a model and actor. Following her debut in a feature film with a small part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to portray the anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Donovan was Charlotte in Taffin in 1988. Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody became a model after the opportunity was offered by an aspiring photographer. Her career has since transformed into commercial modeling. Doody was adamantly against glamour and naked work, a rule that was extended to her acting career. Doody was offered a tiny part as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill following the fact that she was spotted by the director who cast her. Doody was named as one the 12 most promising actors of the year in 1986 in John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody was just turning 18 years old at the time she was cast in the character as a Bond girl. She remains the youngest Bondgirl to date. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke in 1987, was another early film where Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody played the role of Archibald's wife, Lilias as he portrayed his fantasy in 1987's television adaptation The Secret Garden. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody portrayed Sapsorrow along with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. Then she took her biggest role yet in the film Taffin as Austrian archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody has collaborated with three James Bond actors. Doody was in the British mini-series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. It was based on the Hitler Diaries publication scam. Later, she relocated to Hollywood. She went on as Flannery the agent of Charlie Sheen as well as partner on the set of Major League II. She was chosen to be the replacement for Cybill Shepherd who had been L'Oreal's spokesperson. Doody returned to acting in 2003 with a minor role as a character in The Actors, a British comedy The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards show. She starred along with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version of King Solomon's Mines. Doody appeared as a character in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. The Clinic, a medical drama, aired on RTE. The Asphyx was her 2011 remake. Pam Jefferson, the character that she played in the comedy series E4's Beaver Falls during its first season of two seasons. The show featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way, a 2014 film. The Almeria Tierra de Film Award was awarded to her on the 21st of November the 21st of November, 2018. She also received an award at the Almeria Walk of Fame.
